Five grandchildren (Vanessa Carolyn & Suzanna Kathryn Marullo; Matthew Spencer & Lois Anne Yates; and Allison Bird & Andrew Carlton Bird). Retired Attorney at Law (49 years) Private practice 1983-present Assistant Criminal District Attorney (Retired), 16 years 1967-1982 Chief Civil Section, Served in misdemeanor, check, civil, appellate, back tax, felony and special crimes sections. Served as legal advisor for Commissioners Court, Hospital District and appointed and elected officials Private practice 7 years 1960-1967 in general civil and criminal law. Law firm 3 years 1957-1960, Beckmann, Stanard, Wood, Barrow and Vance, defense of liability and compensations cases. Graduated Alamo Heights High School (1943) B. A. degree (Economics), Texas A & M University (1950) Air Force ROTC commission. J. D. degree, University of Texas at Austin (1957) Combat war veteran of World War II :( Corporal, Airborne Infantry), Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, company clerk and combat war veteran, Korea (B-29 Bomber Pilot (2 missions), Distinguished Unit Citation, Aircraft Commander KB-29P Tanker Pilot and JAG officer in USAF Reserve. Lt Col, USAF (Ret). Distinguished Toastmaster (1984), Distinguished District Governor (1969-70), Presidential Citation (1992), Toastmasters International. Past Master, Perfect Union Lodge #10, A.F. & A.M. Former Municipal Judge, City of San Antonio.
